As parents of two young boys ourselves, we are shocked to hear that so many kids in the world are going hungry. Did you know that 66 million primary school-aged children attend classes hungry every day and 45% of deaths in children under 5 are due to poor nutrition, that is 3.1 million children each year! In fact, hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to health worldwide — greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. The good news is that hunger is entirely solvable and at baby luno, we want to do our bit to help.
Babies are our passion and we want all babies in the world to have the best start in life and thrive to reach their full potential so we are really passionate about helping to fight child hunger. Please feel free to join our team #babyluno in the Share the Meal app and together we can help end hunger!
ShareTheMeal is a smartphone app that enables users to "share their meal" with hungry children – with just a tap. An initiative of the World Food Programme, a humanitarian agency of the United Nations. This charity has one of the least overhead costs out of any charity organisation.
